ProForm Power 995i Treadmill Review

What makes it a good choice for runners

Three reasons: Speed, platform size and cushion. In 2015, there’s not another treadmill for under $1000 can beat this model overall on these three qualities.

Not even the LifeSpan TR 1200i, the highest rated treadmill in this price range can match these qualities specifically for runners.

Compared to the LifeSpan TR 1200i, the ProForm Power 995i Treadmill has a motor that allows you to run faster 12 mph pace and has a larger running platform to run on.

Although the ProForm does have the ProShox cushioning system built-in to relieve the force of impact on joints. The bio-mechanical suspension system of the LifeSpan model is superior in providing a higher level of durability and comfort.

Good choice for a person over 300 pounds

This treadmill is rated to handle 350 pounds. If a person 300 pounds is looking for a treadmill for weight loss, this could work. Walking or a light jog on it should be no problem.

Not trying to be rude – At one point in my life, I was 290 pounds. I needed to lose weight badly. The point I want to make, at 290 pounds I could still run.

Compared to walking, when running, much more force is coming down with each stride. So if you are a bigger person pushing 300+ in weight who can also run, I would recommend walking or light jogging to shed some pounds before going into a full sprint!

Conclusion on the ProForm Power 995i Treadmill

The model costs right around $850, while there are better models out there, for the price this model does provide quality. It’s going to be something you can use to reach your weight loss, endurance conditioning or general fitness goals.

It provides a large platform to run, jog or walk on and also provides a quality motor. Both the frame and motor have lifetime warranties.

There are other things to like about this model.  The digital controls in the big center console allow you to control speed 0-12 MPH, incline 0-15 and also allows you to choose between 30 preset workout apps. The model also folds up to save on space.
