From the floor to the top of the running platform how tall is it? This would be about 10 inches high. Also remember this treadmill does how the ability to incline 15% versus a flat grade. Every 3% incline, adds about an inch. So when using the full 15% incline setting the height from the floor to the top of the running platform will around 15 inches.

Does this model come with incline? See above. Yes.

The length of the tread belt? 60-inches. This is probably most important to people looking to buy this model for running. The 60-inch length is good for runners.

How much horsepower does the motor provide? The motor is a CHP and provides 3.0 horsepower.

How fast of a pace can the ProForm Power 995i treadmill set? The top speed of this treadmill is 12 MPH. At this maximum speed, this would be the equivalent to running a 5 minute mile.

Is this a good choice for a home treadmill for runners? The two main criteria we look at when deciding whether or not a treadmill is suitable for running are the motor and tread belt. The motor must be at least 2.5 horsepower and have a tread belt at least 55-inches in length. This ProForm treadmill has a 3.0 horsepower motor and a tread belt that is 60-inches in length.

In this price range it is probably on of the top models for runners. However, if you can afford to spend more, there are more expensive models which are higher performing and better for running.

Warranty? This very important to look at before buying. Before spending a $1000 or more on a treadmill make sure you look at what the warranty provides. At the $1000+ price you should expect to receive no less than a lifetime guarantee on both the motor and frame. If you are offered anything less then you should question the quality of the treadmill or the honesty of the place you are making your purchase.

What is the maximum user weight capacity of this model? 350 pounds.

Cooling fan? Yes, the model does include a fan which is located in the front right below the center console.

What about iFit? This model does come with the iFit module. However, in order to use it you must purchase a membership at the iFit website. If you do not want to use this application, you are not required to purchase a membership.

Recommended mat size? The smallest mat size to use under this model would be 36″ x 78″ (W x L) and at least 4 mm in thickness. We would recommend the use of a mat under this model, as it will, protect the floor underneath from possible damage and also help minimize the movement of the treadmill when in use.
