If you look at and compare the price of the ProForm  ZT6 to other options the market you will find there are models which cost thousands of dollars more. These more expensive models are obviously higher performing. So we definitely are not here to try to portray the ProForm ZT6 as one of the top running treadmills you can buy for your home. Our rule of thumb:

You can read more about it here. If not, here’s the short and sweet of it. In order to recommend a treadmill as a model to buy for the purpose of running, it must first meet two important criteria:

  • The motor must have at least 2.5 horsepower.
  • The tread belt (or exercise platform) must be at least 54 to 55 inches in length.

This model does meet both required criteria. The motor is 2.5 horsepower and the tread belt is 55-inches in length. We are not saying this is the best possible choice for running but it at least meets the minimum requirements.

Maximum weight capacity of the ProForm ZT6 Treadmill? 325 lbs. If you are a big guy looking for a inexpensive but quality home treadmill this would be a choice to look into.

iPod and MP3? Yes. There is a port provided which will allow you to plug your iPod and MP3 and other mobile devices to be plugged in. The model provides 2-inch speaker for a decent sound system experience.

Does the model arrive completely assembled? No. Some assembly is required. When making your purchase, there is an option to include assemble.
